Engaged, originally uploaded by mooosh ♥ miso funky.

I have been busy rather a lot lately. I’ve not had time to sleep/eat/etc let alone blog.

So I am going to try and keep a photo-a-day blog again. I like to look back and see what I’ve been up to, so will be attempting to post a photo from each day.

This represents Sunday – it’s from the Cabinet War Rooms, on the door of the transatlantic telegraph room. They decked it out to look like the door of a toilet so it could be a secret. Jo and I had a whistlestop tour there before we caught the train back from London. Fun!

  1. That’s so funny! I can’t help thinking, though, wouldn’t disguising a room as a toilet make people MORE likely to wander in? It would have been more sensible to put a sign up saying “broom cupboard” or something. Maybe someone was trying to bring a bit of light relief to the room’s inhabitants – toilet humour is surely the perfect antidote to war talk 🙂

  2. Apparently there were no flushing toilets in the bunker, so they told everyone that this was the only one, reserved for Churchill. There was so much amazing signage etc down there but too dull for my wee camera to capture very well.
